Staff Notification Addon For WHMCS will allow you to maintain easy and effective communication in your company. Thanks to this module you will be able to provide feedback or important information to all your team members without worrying that the information might not reach them. This module uses simple popup windows to display messages, this way it is impossible to miss them and your employees will not need to visit dashboard or any other section of the system just to see if there are new messages. When they will log in to the system for the first time on the given day, the messages will be displayed to them. Our module has of course also possibility to specify date and set up recurring for the messages so you can plan them in advance.
Below we will explain how to properly install and configure our Staff Notification for WHMCS starting from the basics.
And that is all. You have just successfully installed and configured your Staff Notification Module. And it started working the moment licence was verified.
Now since we have it activated and it is working nicely, it would be a good idea to know what other tools do you have at your disposal. To do that we will need to go to the management section in 'Addon' -> 'Staff Notification Addon'. There are two sections here that we will discuss.
In this section you can create new message, or manage your active messages. There are many options available here so let’s start from creating new message ang go through all the options there
Message Type - Here you can select whether you want this to be a text message or a image, for example a holiday card with best wishes to your entire team.
Name - Title or a name for this message so it will be easier to identify them if you have multiple active messages
Recipient - In here you select who will receive the message. It can be one particular administrator, whole admin group, or both
Content/Image - Depending on which option did you choose before you will see either a text box in which you will be able to write your message or an upload option for your image
Scheduled Date - This section lets you choose when your message will start displaying
Repeats Every - This field allows you to specify how often the message needs to be displayed. So for example if you want for the message to show every two days, you would put 2 there. 0 means this function will be deactivated
Repeats For - This section lets you specify for how many days the message will appear. 0 means this is disabled so the message will appear only once.
Please have in mind that this works with previous field so if you will set ‘Repeats For’ to 3 and ‘Repeats Every” to higher number than that i.e 5 then the message will be displayed only once in the first day, as the next time it should appear would be after the scheduled duration
There are four options for each message, Going from left to right they are:
Edit Message(Green Button) - Allows you to edit your messages using the same configuration screen as if you were creating new one, which means anything can be changed, from the dates up to the actual message content
Create Copy of this Message (Blue Button) - Allows you to quickly duplicate the message and apply small changes (i.e if you want to create similar message bot that will appear in a later date)
Verify Message (Orange Button) - This section lets you check on who of the assigned staff members had already seen the message. If the message is recurring then you will see a confirmation for each day
Delete Message (Red Button) - Removes the message entirely. This action does not put it in the Old Messages section (More about that below).
This section displays list of all your old messages that had already expired. This way you can easily find old notifications and messages and reuse them, or check who had received them and who did not. Actions available here are almost the same as in ‘Active Messages’ section. The only difference is ‘Restore’ Button which replaces ‘Create Copy’. It serves the same function, and the only difference is that the original message is and will stay inactive.
