Getting Started
MarketConnect is a digital services platform from WHMCS that allows you to resell value added services such as SSL, Website Builder and Email Security with full automation.
You need to be running WHMCS 7.2 or later to take advantage of the WHMCS MarketConect functionality.
No, its 100% free to signup and begin offering products to your customers via MarketConnect. You only need to add funds when you make your first sale.
Simply navigate to Setup > MarketConnect within your WHMCS installation to get started. If you dont see the menu option, please ensure you are running WHMCS 7.2 or later, that your admin area templates are up-to-date and that your admin role group has permission to access MarketConnect.
Account & Billing
Simply create or login to your account at https://marketplace.whmcs.com/ and navigate to "Your Pricing". You can also view pricing via the Learn More popups inside your WHMCS installation by navigating to Setup > MarketConnect.
We accept payment by PayPal as well as all major credit and debit cards. All deposits are non-refundable.
There is a $20 minimum amount for deposits. This allows us to keep transaction processing costs lower and allow you to deposit funds without deducting any convenience fees.
We do not store your credit card information and will never bill you automatically. Any fund deposits you make must be initiated by you.
Symantec SSL Certificates
You can sell all of the SSL Certificates offered through the RapidSSL, GeoTrust and Symantec brands. These include DV, OV, EV and Wildcard certificate types.
When an order is placed for an SSL Certificate for a cPanel hosting package within WHMCS via WHMCS MarketConnect, WHMCS will purchase the certificate and then communicate with cPanel to automatically generate a CSR, submit that to Symantec, poll periodically for the certificate to be issued, and then upon issue fetch and auto-install the certificate.
The whole process from placing an order for the SSL certificate to the certificate being installed to the cPanel hosting account typically takes just 1-2 minutes. If the order is held by Symantec for manual review, it can take longer.
All types of SSL Certificate (DV, OV, EV and Wildcard) can be automatically provisioned and installed. However for OV and EV level certificates which have additional manual verification checks, those checks do still need to be completed and the certificate issuance and installation will not take place until that has been completed.
Yes, you can still purchase and submit a CSR for the SSL Certificate manually using WHMCS MarketConnect. It is not restricted to only cPanel.
Weebly Site Builder
Weebly is a drag and drop site builder that is used by millions of people around the world to build their website. Its easy to use and requires no technical knowledge to create a site.
There are 3 levels of plan available from Weebly: Starter, Pro and Business. Users can upgrade at any time via WHMCS and MarketConnect, the Weebly Site Builder editor will prompt users to upgrade when required and automatically redirect them to your WHMCS installation.
Upon purchase, a Weebly Site Builder account will be created for your customers automatically. They will then have the option to login and build their site from your WHMCS client area - both via the homepage and the product details view for an individual hosting account. Login is taken care of via SSO so theres no separate login details to remember.
You do. Whenever the customer completes the creation of their website and hits the publish button, Weebly will connect to your web server and publish the site via FTP.
No the Weebly Cloud plugin does not have to be installed to your hosting control panel (cPanel/Plesk/etc...).
For Weebly publishing to function, you must meet the following minimum requirements: Linux Server running Apache, with mod_rewrite and mod_authz_core modules activated/installed, PHP 5.3 or higher, with cURL and ZipArchive activated/installed, Apache/httpd user needs permission to alter files in the publish directory and FTP Passive Mode enabled. SiteLock Website Security
SiteLock is a cloud-based security service that scans websites to detect malware and other vulnerabilities.
Yes. SiteLock works indepedently from the server technology and so can be used on all types of hosting server, and with any kind of software.
SiteLock will inform the site owner by email, and with an alert in the SiteLock Dashboard. The report will provide complete information about the issue that is found along with help to remove it.
No. SiteLock scans won't impact the performance of a website.
Your customers will be able to login automatically to the SiteLock online control panel directly from within your WHMCS client area.
SiteLock Lite is a limited free version of the SiteLock service that allows users to try out the SiteLock service before purchasing it. It includes daily malware scanning, blacklist monitoring and SiteLock's risk score.
SpamExperts Email Security
SpamExperts is a spam, malware and virus scanning service that learns from the email it receives to become ever more effective at protecting email against threats, attacks and spam.
No. WHMCS MarketConnect will provision user accounts with SpamExperts and your customers login and manage their spam protection via your WHMCS client area. You do not need to install any 3rd party modules or plugins to your server for it to work.
The SpamExperts pricing is per domain, so you pay that for each of your customers who wants to use the SpamExperts service. The price includes support for up to 1000 email boxes per domain.
Yes the SpamExperts service is only enabled for a domain when either you or a customer submits and provisions an order for the SpamExperts service for a given domain. Each domain can choose between the 3 services, Incoming Scanning, Outgoing Scanning and Email Archiving - or a combination of all 3.
