WHMCS Gateway Fees Addon

Add fees — or discounts — to invoices based on the payment gateway your clients choose. Fully compatible with WHMCS 9.x and PHP 8.1+, with a dedicated admin management interface.

Fixed and percentage-based fees per payment gateway — or discounts using negative values.

Requirements

WHMCS 8.x or 9.x
PHP 8.1 or newer

Installation

Upload the gateway_fees folder to modules/addons/ in your WHMCS installation.
Activate it under Setup → Addon Modules → Gateway Fees.
Configure per-gateway fees under Addons → Gateway Fees.

Legacy 1.x settings are migrated automatically on upgrade. Open source under the MIT License — source and documentation are available on GitHub.

Fixes

Fees now apply correctly to admin-created invoices (InvoiceCreationAdminArea).
Partial-payment guard: invoices with recorded transactions are left untouched.
Invoice total is refreshed correctly when fees are applied via Recalculate / apply-on-save.
Removed the fragile reimplementation of WHMCS' internal tax calculation; added null-safety throughout.

Updates and Improvements

Currency Display Fix:
- The module now correctly displays fees in the default currency set in the WHMCS system. This fix ensures that all fees are shown in the appropriate currency without needing manual adjustments.
Fee Display on Checkout Page for Twenty-One Template:
- Fees associated with payment methods configured via this module are now displayed on the checkout page when using the default Twenty-One template.
- Note for Developers: If you are using a custom template, you might need to make adjustments to the ShoppingCartCheckoutOutput hook in the hooks.php file to ensure that fees are displayed correctly on the checkout page.
