Integrate SSLCommerz Payment Gateway for WHMCS

A production-ready SSLCommerz v4 payment gateway for WHMCS, with secure checkout, callback/IPN settlement, multi-currency reconciliation, refunds, and an optional administrator transaction-lookup add-on. SSLCommerz is the pioneer of online payment processing in Bangladesh, enabling merchants to receive payments through e-commerce websites — with this module, your WHMCS clients can transact smoothly using credit cards or bank accounts.

This is an independent community integration. It is not an official product of, sponsored by, or affiliated with SSL Wireless/SSLCommerz or WHMCS.

Requirements

  1. WHMCS 8.x or 9.x.
  2. PHP 7.4 or a supported PHP 8.x release (PHP 8.3 tested).
  3. PHP cURL and JSON extensions installed.
  4. A public HTTPS WHMCS System URL with a valid SSL certificate.
  5. An SSLCommerz Sandbox or Live store account.
  6. A fixed public outbound/NAT IP registered with SSLCommerz (required for live refund API calls).

Overview of Features

  1. Fully integrated with SSLCommerz API Version 4.
  2. Three checkout modes: EasyCheckout popup, Legacy Hosted, and New Hosted.
  3. Server-side invoice reload with short-lived HMAC checkout tokens.
  4. Shared, idempotent browser callback and IPN payment processing.
  5. Strict transaction, amount, currency, risk, and identity validation.
  6. Safe USD/foreign-currency to BDT settlement reconciliation.
  7. Full and partial refunds using the payment's captured exchange rate.
  8. Searchable admin transaction lookup add-on with CSV export.
  9. Tested with WHMCS 8.x and 9.x, PHP 7.4-compatible.

Installing Steps

  1. Back up your WHMCS database and any existing SSLCommerz module files.
  2. Download the SSLCommerz payment integration module and extract the downloaded file to a folder on your computer.
  3. Using an FTP client, upload the modules directory from the extracted files to the root of your WHMCS installation, merging with the existing modules directory.
  4. Be careful not to overwrite unrelated files. The new files added by the SSLCommerz module will do the necessary job without harming your system.
  5. Log in to your WHMCS Admin area.
  6. Go to Configuration > Apps & Integrations > Payments and search for SSLCommerz.
  7. Click the Activate button.
  8. Now, edit the following settings:
    • Display Name: The name of the button that will show on the payment page.
    • Store ID: Enter your Test or Live Store ID.
    • Store Password: Enter the Test or Live password.
    • Test Mode: Check this if needed.
    • Checkout Mode: Choose EasyCheckout popup, Legacy Hosted, or New Hosted.
  9. Fill in the details, and click Save Changes to complete your setup.
  10. Optionally activate SSLCommerz Transaction Lookup under System Settings > Addon Modules and grant access to the required administrator roles.
  11. Complete a sandbox payment and verify both the invoice and Billing > Gateway Log before enabling live mode.

The original module had some issues, such as the session closing after payment and logging out of the WHMCS portal.

These issues have now been fixed.
