Transfer Account Ownership Module for WHMCS

Account Transfer Manager lets your clients transfer services and domains to another client in your WHMCS automatically — safely, with full control, and without opening a ticket.

Key Features

• Client-to-client transfer flow

  • A client can initiate a transfer of a hosting service (and matching domain) to another client account. The receiving client gets an email and must accept.

• OTP-confirmed acceptance

  • The new owner must enter a one-time confirmation code (OTP) sent via your WHMCS mail settings. No random “surprise” transfers.

• Optional admin approval

  • You choose: allow instant transfers, or require an admin to approve/deny after the receiver accepts.

• Automatic reassignment

  • When approved, ownership of the service is moved to the new client. If there’s a domain with the exact same name (example.com), it moves too.

Block risky transfers

Transfers can be automatically blocked if:

• The service is Suspended

  • There are overdue invoices tied to that service
  • This protects revenue and stops people from dumping problem services onto someone else.

Full audit trail

• Every step (request, OTP sent, accepted, approved, rejected, etc.) is logged with timestamps, IP, and actor (client / admin / system).

Admin dashboard

• A new “Account Transfer Manager” page in the admin area shows:

  • Pending / accepted / completed transfers

  • Approve / Reject buttons

  • Logs / audit trail

  • Blocklist (ban specific clients from using transfers)

Branded emails

• OTP / acceptance emails are sent using your WHMCS mail configuration so they look like your company, not a random script.

Client Experience

• Sender goes to their service in the client area and clicks Ownership Transfer in the sidebar.

• They enter the recipient’s email and agree to Terms.

• Recipient gets an email with a secure link + OTP.

• Recipient logs in and either:

  • Enters the OTP and accepts, or

  • Rejects the transfer

• (Optional) Admin reviews and approves.
