Reseller Manager Module for WHMCS

Overview

The Reseller Manager module transforms standard WHMCS clients into independent Resellers. These Resellers can then create their own sub-clients, manage pricing, and operate under their own white-label branding, all from a dedicated Reseller Dashboard within your WHMCS Client Area.

1. Reseller Dashboard

A comprehensive, modern dashboard for Resellers to oversee their business.

• Key Metrics: View total clients, revenue, open support tickets, and current credit balance.
• Recent Activity: Track recent provisioning and financial transactions.

2. Branding (White Label)

Resellers can fully customizable their identity.

• Company Name: Overrides the system's company name in emails and invoices sent to their sub-clients.
• Logo: Define a custom logo URL to appear on dashboard and emails.
• SMTP Settings: Resellers can configure their own SMTP server (Host, User, Pass, Port). This ensures that "Welcome" emails and other notifications are effectively sent to their sub-clients from their own domain, improving deliverability and white-label authenticity.

3. Client Management

• Add Client: Resellers can easily create new accounts for their customers directly from their dashboard.
• List Clients: View all sub-clients with status and creation date.
• Login As Client: One-click functionality to log in as a sub-client (SSO) to view their dashboard or troubleshoot issues.

4. Product Management & Pricing

• Product Mapping: Resellers can choose which of your (the admin's) products they want to resell.
• Custom Pricing: Resellers set their own selling price.
• Hidden Cost: The wholesale "Cost" is visible only to the Reseller, not their sub-clients.
• Profit Tracking: The system calculates the difference between the wholesale cost and the selling price.

5. Provisioning & Billing

• Immediate Provisioning: Resellers can provision services for their clients instantly.
• Credit Logic: The cost (wholesale price) is deducted from the Reseller's Credit Balance.
• Automated Invoicing: An invoice is generated for the sub-client for record-keeping at the Selling Price set by the Reseller, while the transaction is settled internally via the Reseller's pre-paid balance.

6. Support System

• Ticket Monitoring: Resellers can view support tickets opened by their sub-clients directly in their dashboard.

7. Admin Management

• Reseller List: Admins can view all active resellers (clients in the "Reseller" group) from the addon module page.
• Reseller Details: Click "Manage Reseller" to view:
  • Credit Balance: Monitor the reseller's available funds.
  • Sub-Client Statistics: View total sub-clients and their aggregated revenue.
  • Branding Control: View and edit the white-label branding settings for any reseller.
  • Sub-Clients List: A direct list of all clients belonging to a reseller with shortcuts to manage their services or invoices.

8. Selling Reseller Plans (Provisioning Module)

You can automate the sale of Reseller Accounts using the included Reseller Credits & Access server module.

1. Create a Product: Go to Setup > Products/Services and create a new product.
2. Module Settings:
   • Module Name: Select Reseller Credits & Access.
   • Credit Amount: Enter the amount of WHMCS Credit the user receives instantly upon purchase (e.g., 100.00). This is the balance they will use to provision sub-accounts.
   • Reseller Group Name: Ensure this matches your Client Group name (Default: Reseller).
3. Pricing: Set the price of this product. Ideally, the price matches the Credit Amount (e.g., Pay $100, get $100 Credit), or you can charge a premium (e.g., Pay $120, get $100 Credit + Reseller Access).
4. Automation: Enable "Automatically setup the product as soon as the first payment is received".

Outcome: When a user buys this product, they are automatically upgraded to a "Reseller" and funds are added to their balance, allowing them to immediately start selling.
