Notice Banner is a WHMCS addon module for communicating with staff and clients through banners and notices in the admin area and client area.

What it does

• Notices with Markdown-style formatting (headings, bold, lists, links, code).
• Banners with styling (colours, optional button, “show again” behaviour).
• Polls (Pro) for quick feedback; acknowledgement options for important messages.
• @mentions and admin assignments to coordinate work.
• Scheduling — publish and expiry windows (Pro).
• Targeting (Pro) — client groups, pages, products, and more, so the right people see the right message.
• To-do style banners and related workflows for internal follow-up.
• Webhooks (Pro / global in settings) to notify Slack, Discord, or your own URL when notices change.
• Admin dashboard widget for an at-a-glance overview and quick access (where permissions allow).
• Activity log (Pro) for auditing actions.

Plans

• Free tier — core notices and banners; number of active notices is capped (value enforced by the license service; default discussed in product docs).
• Pro — polls, ticket shortcut, webhooks, tags, templates, clone, advanced scheduling, targeting, activity log, widget CRUD, export, and other advanced options as implemented in the current release.

Requirements

• Supported WHMCS and PHP (match the versions you officially support, e.g. per WHMCS 8.x).
• MySQL/MariaDB (module uses its own mod_* tables).
• Outbound HTTPS for license validation (firewall/host must allow that). Optional configuration for custom license API URL is documented in the package.

Install (summary)

1. Upload the noticebanner folder to modules/addons/noticebanner/.
2. Activate Notice Banner under Setup → System Settings → Addon Modules.
3. Ensure storage/ is writable for uploads/attachments.
4. Enter your license key in the module UI (Pro) as provided at purchase.
