The module doesn´t work, I have bought two modules because at first the module worked perfectly.
After the 7.9 WHMCS update, the module no longer works, I have been writing several support tickets for a year but on my ticket status always appears on investigation.
I don´t recommend this module, I´m very dissapointed in the support.
About your answer, firstly I´m not wrong, the stripe module belongs to the WHMCS, the same as the other payment methods that come by default with WHMCS. Your module should work with all the payment methods because otherwise what is this module for??

This addon came in handy with large invoices which kept eating away profit from large gateway fees. Works as expected. Just wish they allowed a way to add a note for clients to see when this rule gets triggered.
