This release brings significant updates in the billing metrics. Prior to upgrading, run a pre-check as explained in https://kb.acronis.com/content/70916. Also note that based on the pre-check result, you might need to update your Acronis product configuration in WHMCS.
Post-upgrade, run the following maintenance tasks to ensure that the module works smoothly:
- Go to the add-on modules admin screen (System Settings → Addon Modules) to allow the integration to finalize the upgrade.
- Run a Template Cache cleanup (Utilities → System → System Cleanup) to ensure all new offering items are properly displayed on the product configuration screen.
- Manually run all cron jobs to make sure that the new billing metrics are properly synchronized with the usage reports.
After upgrading to WHMCS 2.7, the Advanced packs pricing has to be reconfigured since this release updates the offering items.

v2.4.0-300
Released May 24th, 2021
View/hide detailed changelog
This update of Acronis Cyber Cloud module for WHMCS brings support for a new advanced licensing.
What's new
- Advanced licensing
- Added support for new Cyber Cloud Protect (available both in per gigabyte and per workload billing modes).
- Added support for Advanced Security, Advanced Management, Advanced Backup and Advanced Disaster Recovery packs.
- Usage billing is supported for new products.
- Previous additions can still be managed via WHMCS, but are now marked as legacy.
- It is possible to switch from legacy editions to the new Cyber Cloud Protect.
- For partner tenants: new services should be added to the existing template/product. This will allow partners to move their customers from legacy editions to the new Cyber Cloud Protect. Once all customers are switched, the partner can upgrade to the product without legacy editions (if required).
- For customer tenants: new template and product should be configured (with appropriate quotas and configuration options). Customers can then upgrade to a new product.
- Limitations:
- Usage for included (free) features is not supported in the current release.
- Switching from new Cyber Cloud Protect to legacy editions is not supported.
- Switching for end customers can be done only via upgrade from legacy to new template. Switching via reconfiguration of existing customer template is not supported.
- Template wizard improvements
- It is now possible to define all the settings available during tenant creation in the Acronis Management Portal.
- The mode setting defines whether the customer will be created in trial or in production mode. This setting is applicable only for customer account type.
- The Management mode setting manages the access to the tenant (self-service or managed by service provider).
- Two-factor authentication enables 2FA for the tenant. If turned on, all users will require two-factor authentication setup.
- Enhanced security mode defines whether to use encryption for all backups. This setting is applicable for the customer account type only.
Fixed issues
*Fixed "Local Storage" usage reporting for legacy editions.

Maria Belogubova @maria7889
Hi Andreas,
Owner@AcronisNew columns are added in 2.4 to support additional tenant settings in the template. For successful column creation ALTER permission should be granted to the WHMCS database user.
To fix the issue, you can create the columns manually, here are the queries you need:
ALTER TABLE acroniscloud_service_templates ADD `pricing_mode` enum('trial','production') COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci DEFAULT NULL;
ALTER TABLE acroniscloud_service_templates ADD `management_mode` enum('self-service','service_provider') COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci NOT NULL DEFAULT 'service_provider';
ALTER TABLE acroniscloud_service_templates ADD `mfa_status` tinyint(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0';
ALTER TABLE acroniscloud_service_templates ADD `enhanced_security` tinyint(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0';
If it does not fix the issue, please contact Acronis support for further assisstnance

Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Niko,
Formerly@AcronisWe will check compatibility with 8.0.4 and will update compatibility page in the beginning of next week. But I checked the release notes and it's unlikely that the issue is cased by changes in WHMCS 8.0.4 release.
We have some guess what could cause this issue. To check it, could you please disable the logs in the Addon Module configuration and try to save the template again?
Best regards,
Victor Batraev

Formerly@AcronisPlease, make sure you haven't disabled the "parse_ini_file" function using the "disable_functions" option in php.ini

Note: to find your php.ini file location, you can use the following command "php -i | grep php.ini"
Chris Smith @chris7887
2 problems
1. auto-login does not work for the client within WHMCS for it to automatically log them into their Acronis account
2.
for a subscription, it shows like
Subscription
Name Acronis Backups
Status Active
Registration date 7 Feb 2020
Next due date 7 Mar 2020
Billing cycle Monthly
Recurring amount US$0.00
Payment method PayPal
It shows US$ even though it is set as £ GBP for the clients' service/product
Those 2 things definitely needed to be corrected.
Edit: Spoke with support and #1 is by design for better security. #2 will be corrected soon.
Tatiana Andreeva @tatiana5953
Chris,
Formerly@AcronisIssue #2 was fixed starting from version 2.0.0-123, please consider plugin update.
Issue #1 Auto-login to Acronis Cloud from client area will be implemented in the future updates. Please, check the Changelog for announcements.

Alejandro Galtier @alejandro8115
With the last upgrade when i update a template the configuration is lost and in the database the table acroniscloud_service_template_offering_items is not updated correctly creating new items all the time.
Other problem is that the clients cant autologin to their account and need to introduce the username and pasword to go to the cloud console

The compatibility and changelog is not very clear about support for old WHMCS versions. Is v1.0.177 compatible with WHMCS 6.3.2?
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Mohamed,
Formerly@AcronisWHMCS 6.3.2 is no longer officially supported. Currently the oldest supported version is 7.0.
You may find the actual list of supported versions on the "Compatibility" page.

Machiasiaweb Ma @machiasiaweb
Hello,
Version used: v1.0.150
WHMCS user is able to create product.
However, when WHMCS user input the QTY (e.g. Servers, Virtual Machines) during produce Acronis product. But Aconis portal is still showing Unlimited items.
Is it correct setting?
For my understanding the WHMCS configurable options should be match Aconis portal.
Thanks!

WHMCS 7.2, is there a new update for the Acronis plugin? I see an Oops page.
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Gizmo,
Formerly@AcronisWe checked the module with WHMCS 7.2.1 and found no issues. Could you please contact Acronis support team to investigate the issue?

Raymond Hayes @RHayes
We are currently using Acronis on another billing platform and are quite pleased. But, we may be switching to WHMCS. Is there a way to move the customers from that billing system so that they are setup on the new system?
UPDATE: Followed the instructions, but our screens do not match. We do not have Admin ID or Group ID. We only have Subscription ID. Not sure why.
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Raymond,
Formerly@AcronisYes, you can do this. Please check https://kb.acronis.com/content/59507 for details.

After installation we can't seem to get past this error:
AcronisBackupService / CreateAccount
Error: Cannot add the group to the system. [HTTP error code 400 ("400 Does not satisfy business rules.")]
and we are really not sure if our Acronis account is really setup for this module to work?
Update: Thanks Victor for your help, we have got our module working now. All is good!!
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Robert,
Formerly@AcronisCould you please make sure that:
1. you use the latest version of the module
2. that in server settings you set login from partner group, not from customer one.
If the problem persist, could you send me your login at vbatraev@acronis.com, we will check your account.
You can also contact Acronis support for assistance.

Great module! Works very nicely. It created the customer accounts easily.
Just wonder who I contact if I have questions about the module or the help installation documentation.
However, I do get an error within the Member's Portal when you click on My Products & Services and click the Acronis service... The error is:
Module AcronisBackupService: Error occured [2]: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in file /home/gwentllc/public_html/members/vendor/whmcs/whmcs-foundation/lib/View/Formatter/Price.php [line 0]
And it has all the details under the Backtrace.
I'm running version 7.1.0
The upgraded 1.0.74 works perfectly. Thank you!
Victor Batraev @vbatraev

Jess Coburn @Jess
I'm extremely pleased with the Acronis module for WHMCS. Once properly configured we're able to allow customers to auto-provision 30 day free trials and upgrade. In the event the client doesn't continue with the trial it's automatically decommissioned. The integration is fantastic and we've got customers online and running with it, without issue. Because no software is perfect I will say the documentation for installing and initially configuring Acronis is difficult to follow but if you've installed and configured an add-on service in WHMCS it's the same.
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Jess,
Formerly@AcronisThank you for your feedback!

Horace Ng @Horace
Try to create a test account with name 'test11' and it returns nothing in client side.
If create in the admin area, it returns the following.
Error: Cannot add the group administrator account. [HTTP error code 409 ("409 Need to specify explicitly that user should be created using an existing identity")]
Manually changed the account name to something else, and it went alright.
Victor Batraev @vbatraev
Hi Horace,
Formerly@AcronisWe cannot reproduce the issue on our side. Could you please provide logs we requested earlier?
Backup administrator account creation may fail in case of another account with the same login already exists in our cloud. And WHMCS doesn't allow to validate the login in store. In this case, client can add the account from client area later.
Best regards,
Victor Batraev
