[WARNING] WHMCS Global Services Pvt Ltd — Systematic Duplicate Billing via Late Fee Manipulation (4+ years, $549 overcharged, forensic evidence included)
Hi all,
Sharing a documented case of systematic overbilling by WHMCS Global Services Pvt Ltd (Mohali, Punjab, India), a third-party company that sells modules and themes for WHMCS.
We've been their customer since 2016 (VMware Quarterly module, $49.90/quarter via PayPal subscription).
**The Problem:**
Our PayPal subscription charges $49.90 on the due date (21st of each quarter). Their late fee cron runs on the 22nd and applies a $4.99 fee BEFORE their system processes the subscription payment receipt. This creates a false balance on the invoice. We then paid again manually. Result: $104.79 charged for a $49.90 service. Every quarter.
**The Evidence:**
- Complete forensic audit of all 41 invoices cross-referenced with PayPal transaction history
- 5 consecutive quarters of duplicate charges confirmed with verifiable PayPal Transaction IDs
- Their own invoices show $449.10 in overpayments (negative balances) never refunded
- Invoice #13545 has FOUR payments of $49.90 applied to a single $49.90 invoice
**They Knew Since 2021:**
We reported this in December 2021 (support tickets #411849 and #658467). We told them: "WHMCS does not allow paypal subscriptions with a later date." Their agent removed late fees four times. They never fixed the root cause. The problem continued for 4+ years.
**The Claim (25 days of broken promises):**
- Apr 4, 2026: Formal claim filed for $549.52
- Apr 7: WGS denied any duplicate billing
- Apr 7: We provided specific PayPal Transaction IDs proving the duplicates
- Apr 8: WGS suddenly offered a "credit balance" (implicit admission)
- Apr 18: WGS committed IN WRITING to refund $384.85 within 5-6 business days
- Apr 23: Confirmed AGAIN in writing
- Apr 27: "Forwarded to finance again, hope today or tomorrow"
- Apr 28: Deadline expired. No payment.
- Six written commitments. Zero fulfilled.
Three PayPal disputes were resolved in our favor ($164.67). WGS still owes $384.85.

**If you are a WGS customer with a PayPal subscription**, I strongly recommend checking your invoices against your PayPal history. Look for "Late Fee" line items added one day after your subscription payment date.
