Openprovider Domains via WHMCS

The Openprovider WHMCS module integrates conveniently with your Openprovider account (Sign-up at https://cp.openprovider.eu/signup if you don't have an account yet), allowing you to automate many domain provisioning and management tasks, such as registration, renewal, deletion, and updates to contact details.

The module keeps domain expiration dates and auto renew settings synchronized between your WHMCS installation and Openprovider account, making sure the correct domains get renewed each day.

Additionally, the module allows you to use the Openprovider API to check for domain availability, increasing performance over the default domain availability check.

Install and configure the Openprovider module

Copy files into the module directories

  • Upload the contents of /modules/registrars/openprovider from this repository to your_WHMCS_directory/modules/registrars/openprovider

  • Upload the contents of /includes/hooks/ to your_WHMCS_directory/includes/hooks

  • If you do not have the file your_WHMCS_directory/resources/domains/additionalfields.php then copy the example version from resources/domains/additionalfields.php

  • [Optional] Upload /modules/addons/openprovider to your_WHMCS_directory/modules/addons

Basic Configurations

  • Navigate to Configuration > System Settings > Products/Services > Domain Registrars and activate Openprovider.
  1. Enter the API credentials of your user.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Navigate to Utilities > Registrar TLD Sync, click on the Openprovider logo to fetch list of domain extensions and pricing information, configure margin, Automatic Registration, etc. For more details, please refer to https://docs.whmcs.com/domains/pricing-and-configuration/registrar-pricing-sync/
  4. Navigate to Configuration > System Settings > Products/Services > Domain Pricing and select Openprovider as registrar for the TLD which you want to sell via Openprovider.

That's all you need to do to get started selling domains from Openprovider! Additional configurations can be found in the readme file.

Features and improvements

  • Improved TLD Price Sync - Fetch TLD prices with a single click from WHMCS. If prices were fetched via within last 24 hours, we will use the downloaded prices to speed up the operation.
  • Improved DNSSEC management for end users - Manually copying contents from 'custom-pages' to root folder is no longer required if your hosting environment permits. Made it easier to manage DNSSEC.
