Nextcloud for WHMCS connects your WHMCS products with the Nextcloud Provisioning API and gives customers direct control over their Nextcloud accounts from the familiar WHMCS client area.
Sell predefined Shared packages or Dedicated instances with flexible storage. Customers can create and manage their own accounts, monitor usage and upgrade their service without requiring manual intervention from your staff.
One module supports two different service models.
Shared Hosting
Run multiple customer services on the same Nextcloud instance.
Dedicated Hosting
Connect a WHMCS service to a dedicated Nextcloud instance.
This makes the module suitable for both traditional shared Nextcloud hosting and dedicated customer environments.
Customers manage their Nextcloud service directly from WHMCS.
The client area provides four dedicated sections:

Customers can:
New users receive a Nextcloud password setup email, so passwords do not need to be manually distributed by the hosting provider.
For Dedicated services, customers can assign and modify the storage quota of each account while staying within the available storage pool.
Customers can change their package directly from the WHMCS client area.
Interactive controls allow them to adjust available users and storage according to the configured product limits.
Package changes within the same hosting mode are supported, including cheaper packages that WHMCS would normally hide from the standard upgrade selection.
Upgrades
Storage or user increases are invoiced proportionally for the remaining billing period. The additional resources become available after payment.
Downgrades
Reductions are scheduled for the next due date. No credit is generated for the current billing period.
Customers and administrators can cancel a scheduled reduction before it takes effect.
The module also protects against invalid storage reductions. Shared services warn when the new quota would be lower than the usage of an existing account, while Dedicated services prevent storage pools from being reduced below the currently allocated quota.
The module continuously synchronizes account and storage usage from Nextcloud.
Customers and administrators can view:
A configurable storage threshold can trigger a one-time warning when a service approaches its storage limit.
An optional monthly usage report can also be enabled for individual products.
WHMCS handles the lifecycle of the Nextcloud service automatically.
Create Account validates the configured Nextcloud API connection and activates the package. It intentionally does not create a Nextcloud user automatically. Customers create the accounts they actually need afterwards.
Service status changes are synchronized with Nextcloud:
An open cancellation request or overdue invoice alone does not disable accounts while the WHMCS service remains Active.
The daily WHMCS cron processes:
Existing Nextcloud users can be assigned to a WHMCS service from the administration area.
Enter Nextcloud usernames or email addresses and import the accounts without sending another welcome email.
For Shared services, the configured package quota and Nextcloud group can be applied during import.
Accounts already assigned to another WHMCS service are rejected to prevent duplicate assignments.
Administrators can also unlink an imported account. Unlinking removes only the WHMCS association and leaves the Nextcloud account untouched.
The module automatically creates the required WHMCS Product/Service email templates:

Licensing and module updates are managed through the included Nextcloud addon.
Enter the licence key in the addon configuration to activate the module. The addon displays the current licence status and available updates.
Update checks are performed automatically by the daily WHMCS cron.
If the licence becomes inactive, existing services and lifecycle operations remain accessible, but new packages cannot be provisioned and customers cannot create additional accounts.
The module requires:
Configure the Nextcloud instance as a WHMCS server using its hostname, administrator credentials and HTTPS on port 443.
The administrator login password must be used. An app password may successfully pass the connection test because read access is available, while write operations such as creating users or groups can still fail on newer Nextcloud versions that require password confirmation.
The Nextcloud server must not enforce mandatory MFA for all users because mandatory two-factor authentication can prevent provisioning API operations. Individual customers can enable MFA for their own accounts afterwards.
No. The order provisions the Nextcloud hosting package. Customers then create the accounts they need from the Accounts section in the WHMCS client area.
Yes. Administrators can import existing users by username or email address and assign them to a WHMCS service. No additional welcome email is sent during the import.
Shared mode is designed for multiple customers using the same Nextcloud instance. Each service has a defined number of users and storage quota per user.
Dedicated mode represents an individual Nextcloud instance. Storage is managed as a shared pool and customers can create accounts and distribute the available storage between them.
Yes. Customers can increase users or storage directly from the client area. Increases are prorated for the remaining billing period and become available after payment.
Yes. Reductions are scheduled for the next due date and do not generate credit for the current billing period. Scheduled reductions can be cancelled before they take effect.
All Nextcloud accounts assigned to the service are disabled. They are automatically enabled again when the WHMCS service is unsuspended.
The Nextcloud accounts associated with the WHMCS service are deleted.
The module protects against invalid reductions.
Shared services warn when the new per-user quota would be below the usage of the account currently consuming the most storage.
Dedicated services prevent the storage pool from being reduced below the total storage already allocated to accounts.
WHMCS Six, Twenty-One and Lagom 2 are supported.
English and German are included for both client and administration interfaces.
