I have developed a provisioning module for NextCloud using the NextCloud REST API. So, no necessary modules to be installed on NextCloud.
Just setup your NextCloud instance (there's a lot of tutorials and instructions on NextCloud page and on internet) and have it ready to be connected to WHMCS. Setup the module on your WHMCS (instructions o GitHub)

Last note: I keep myself from using complicated functions (php and REST). So it should work on any previous and future versions of WHMCS and NextCloud.
