Automation

  • Manual client mapping: create a custom zone and assign it directly to a client when there is no domain or service to auto-associate
  • Assign/change/unassign a client for existing standalone zones from the admin zones list
  • Client picker with live search (by name, company, email or ID) in the admin area
  • Manually mapped zones appear in the client's DNS Management area just like domain/service zones
  • New "Manual (Client)" filter and association type in the admin zones list, plus a "Custom" badge in the client area (localized in all 8 languages)
  • Orphaned-zone recovery: a zone left pointing at a deleted domain/service is now flagged as "(orphaned)" and can be manually mapped to a client, which cleans up the stale reference
  • Auto-associate now supersedes a manual client mapping with the matching domain/service (same owner only) and clears the redundant client mapping for a single source of truth
  • Hijack protection: a manual client mapping now counts as zone ownership during auto-association and imports
  • Client picker search returns clean results (fixed admin AJAX response) and supports "First Last" full-name matching
  • Adds nullable client_id column to mod_bunnydns_zones (auto-migrates existing installs)
