PekiSSL SSL Certificates is a free provisioning module that lets you sell SSL certificates directly from your WHMCS store. PekiSSL automates the entire certificate lifecycle behind the scenes — ordering, status tracking, reissues before expiry, renewals and cancellation — so you and your customers don't have to manage certificates by hand.

Note: A Turkish tax ID (company tax number or individual TC Kimlik No) is required at checkout only for Turkey-based customers — the module checks the customer's Country field in WHMCS. Customers outside Turkey can order without one. The module and its messages are available in English and Turkish, based on your WHMCS language.

Why automatic reissue matters: Under CA/Browser Forum rules, a single SSL certificate can now be valid for at most 200 days — 100 days from 15 March 2027 and 47 days from 15 March 2029. A 1, 2 or 3-year subscription therefore needs several certificates. PekiSSL reissues the certificate automatically about 30 days before it expires, for as long as the subscription is active, at no extra cost. The new certificate appears in your customer's WHMCS client area on its own, and you are notified via webhook.

What PekiSSL automates:

• Order: the certificate order is created as soon as the WHMCS order is accepted
• Tracking: certificate and validation status are checked every 15 minutes and shown live in the client area
• Delivery: once issued, the certificate, private key, CSR and chain files are ready to download from the client area
• Automatic reissue: the certificate is reissued about 30 days before it expires throughout the subscription (failed attempts are retried every 24 hours)
• Renewal: when the renewal invoice is paid, the subscription is renewed automatically; remaining days are carried over and a service is never charged twice
• Cancellation: the certificate is revoked automatically when the service is cancelled
• Notifications: a certificate.issued webhook is sent for every new or reissued certificate

What stays with you or your customer:

• Domain validation (DCV): done once per order by DNS record, HTTP file or approver email. For reissues, keeping the original DNS record or HTTP file in place lets revalidation complete automatically in most cases; renewals require validation again.
• Installing the certificate on the server: each new or reissued certificate must be downloaded from the client area and installed by the customer (or by you).

Requirements:

• A PekiSSL reseller account and API key
• WHMCS 8.0 or higher, PHP 8.2+
• A Turkish tax ID is required only for Turkey-based end customers; international customers can order without one

How it works:

• Sign up for a PekiSSL reseller account and get your API key.
• Install this module and create one WHMCS product per SSL certificate type you want to sell (e.g. Standard SSL, Wildcard SSL, EV SSL), mapping each product to the corresponding PekiSSL package by its slug or ID (listed by the PekiSSL Partner API).
• Set Annually, Biennially and/or Triennially prices to offer 1, 2 or 3-year terms.
• Start selling — every order, reissue and renewal is handled automatically.

Free SSL (Let's Encrypt) products: Free certificates are issued via DNS validation, so your customer must add a CNAME record before placing the order:

• Host/Name: _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com
• Target: yourdomain-com.<your-account-code>.acme.pekissl.com The target is unique to your reseller account. Get the exact value with GET /api/partner/v1/le-cname-targets?domains=yourdomain.com and show it in your product description. The same record works for wildcard certificates (*.yourdomain.com). If an order is placed before the record exists, issuance fails — simply place a new order at no extra cost once the record is in place. Free certificates are valid for 90 days and are not renewed automatically.

This module is provided free of charge for PekiSSL resellers; no license fee or activation step is required beyond an active PekiSSL reseller account and API key.
