ZoneKeeper hosts your clients' DNS zones on your cPanel/WHM server without creating a cPanel account for each one, and lets clients and admins edit their records right inside WHMCS.

Why

Selling "DNS only" on cPanel usually means a full cPanel account per client: a licence slot, a home directory, local-mail routing surprises, and a Terminate that deletes the zone while the domain still points at you. ZoneKeeper keeps just the zone.

Features

• DNS editor for clients and admins: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV and CAA, with quick setup for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and a website IP.
• Safe saves: every change is one atomic WHM call carrying the zone's serial, so a stale browser tab can never overwrite a newer edit.
• Backups built in: a zone-file snapshot before every change, before any delete, at migration and nightly for every zone on the server. Restore any snapshot, or paste a zone file, even after the zone was deleted.
• A Terminate that won't take a domain offline: it asks the registry and refuses while the domain still uses your nameservers, or when it can't tell.
• Ownership gate: zones are created automatically only for domains registered to the same client; anything else waits for an admin.
• Migrate DNS: an admin tool that turns an existing DNS-only cPanel account into a ZoneKeeper zone. Pre-flight checks, account backup, account removal with the zone kept, then a record-by-record check on every nameserver with automatic rollback.
• Zone health: the serial on each nameserver and the registry delegation, right on the service page.

Setup

1. Upload modules/servers/zonekeeper and includes/hooks/zonekeeper.php to your WHMCS.
2. Add a server of type ZoneKeeper with your WHM hostname, user and API token, and fill in your nameservers.
3. Create a product using the ZoneKeeper module and set a Default IP and a backup folder.
