Tawk.to is a great software for chat, but unfortunately it is not GDPR friendly at all. There is no setting to delete old visitors or chats from the system automatically, so we ended up changing to LHC witch is self-hosted and have settings for GDPR.

Unlike LiveChat, it doesn't integrate with WHMCS, just adds a module to handle the chat sessions. We continue to pay for LiveChat because they actually integrate with WHMCS properly and when the chat is over, it stores the transcript as a closed ticket within the customer account.

I've used tawk dot to on a couple sites and it worked really well. I was able to answer inquiries in real time, even when I was on the go, by using their Android app. It worked seamlessly and made it hard to miss a notification. Hard to believe its free.

We used TAWK before they crated this module, we used the code directly on the page and we noticed, that the script if activated, still runs in a loop and the loading circle in the web browser doesn't stop. Now this happens with the module the same. If we deactivate the modul, the site loads normaly.
We contacted the TAWK support months ago and asked to fix this, but it seems they don't care about that. So we disabled this module and we will use an other one live chat vendor.
