Very bad script, it is not working with multiple domains as they said.
It is only working with single domains,

I don't advise any one to buy this script, as they don't have any level of support.

We have never really used chat but during the COVID19 lockdown, I wanted customers to be able to interact quicker. with us.

I would NOT recommend this live chat, it's VERY clunky and unreliable.

When I installed it on one of my sites, it kept turning off the SSL on the pages it was installed on and I found that the module was calling non SSL items, and therefore breaking the SSL on my pages.

I raised a ticket to WHMCS who I admit, did respond within a reasonable amount of time, a few hours, but finally, they asked me to reach out to the creators of the module, ChatStack who, even 32 hours later have not even responded, so I am now using an alternative live chat system which installed with ease, and no problems.

I am a long time user of WHMCS and use it for three of my different companies and am happy with the WHMCS system as its a huge timesaver, but the chat as some other people have pointed out, falls well below professaional standards.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We've checked the records and confirmed that you did receive Chatstack support's response, which was provided within 30 minutes of your request.

The response provided guidance on adjusting some of the image URL settings to use the https:// - which should have resolved the problem. I understand you preferred not to make this small settings change.

I appreciate that a remotely hosted chat solution better meets your needs at present, but should you require a self-hosted chat solution in future, I do hope you will consider our Live Chat Addon again.

Extremely cheap app for an expensive price and there is nowhere that you can have a control or chatt tab on your admin panel to chat with your customer XD this is a garbage app as you when i cam across this page i found a customer asking if this comes with android or ios phone application so we can chat with customers ^^ then a support put these 2


& they are not for free :'D we have to pay more 10$ + tax per month to chat with our clients !?!? wat a stealerzzzzz....

My review is based off the following information...

1) Does not integrate into the WHMCS admin center, must go to a separate admin page. Come on now folks! The point of using WHMCS is to have everything right in one place. Other 3rd party addons integrate right in so it seems a major issue that WHMCS developers cannot integrate this being its their own addon.

2) Still does not support PHP7. This is an issue as previous versions of PHP are no longer supported! This can become a security issue very fast!

Hey John,
The WHMCS Live Chat Addon comes with Windows and Mac desktop apps that are intended to be used to monitor for chats and respond to customers. Those apps integrate into WHMCS with single sign-on integration and direct deep linking to customer profiles and other management actions. I'm also pleased to confirm that the latest release of the Live Chat Addon fully supports PHP 7, however PHP 5.6 is still supported by PHP and has not yet reached EOL.

We are not currently aware of any live chat compatibility issues with version 5.2 of the live chat addon and WHMCS Version 7 on systems running PHP 5.6.0. Please do get in touch if you're finding that's the case:

This the absolute worst piece of crap I have ever had the great displeasure of uploading to our server. We have honestly tried several different iterations and NONE of them worked. And let us not forget the very amateurish GUI that resembles something my 6 year old granddaughter designed. SHAME ON BOTH WHMCS & CHATSTACK for infecting the Marketplace with this garbage.
