Collect & Protect customer information with WSC Free. WSC is a free add-on module that will provide a secure area for your customers to attach any type of information to WHMCS support tickets which can then be viewed by your support team directly on the WHMCS ticket. Most WHMCS users use no encryption, simply allowing customers to enter sensitive information like passwords or application login links inside WHMCS tickets which is not encrypted and stays there until deleted. This is high risk for customers. Some companies use a simple text box for customers to enter these details, whilst this is slightly more secure it's also highly unprofessional and does not promote your business as caring about your customer's data. With WSC Free & WSC Pro, users can enter details into the secure form. The details are then encrypted and held in your database. You can use the dedicated form to search for the user's login credentials by using the ticket number at which point they will be decrypted and displayed to you or view your customer's sensitive information directly from the WHMCS ticket interface by using WSC's unique Credentials tab. The end-user can choose to remove access to these details or, once the ticket has been marked as completed and closed the WSC will remove the details from your database automatically.
Every install of WSC is unique because each copy uses a unique encryption key to encrypt and decrypt customer information. The encryption key is chosen by you.
The form fields on WSC Free are fixed. You can collect FTP, cPanel, WHMCS, SSH, and .htaccess information from customers. Ideal for ISP's like Web Hosts. To change the form fields, consider WSC Pro.
Once a customer attaches information to a WHMCS ticket, all WHMCS administrators are notified by email. The ticket status is also updated to "Encrypted".
The credentials tab is unique to WSC and allows WHMCS administrators to decrypt and view information left by customers with ease. Switch between the client's credentials and the add reply section directly on the WHMCS ticket
The WSC sidebar is deployed on install and allows customers easy access to the credentials form. WSC also places a "Submit/Update Credentials" button at the top of the viewticket.php page
WSC deploys all modifications on the fly. In most cases, WSC will work right out of the box allowing users a quick, secure way to hold customer data. WSC will work with any custom theme.
