Offer Trial Access to Your Products Without Upfront Payment
Provonic Product Free Trial Manager is a WHMCS free trial module that lets clients try before you buy: they order a product with no upfront payment, use it for the trial period you set, and pay only if they keep it. It is a free trial manager for WHMCS that adds a Free Trial payment gateway to checkout, so a free trial of any product, a hosting free trial, a free hosting trial or a VPS free trial becomes an ordinary order without payment, placed through the free trial gateway with no payment required up front. Set trial periods and the trial length in trial days per product, per group or as store-wide defaults: a 7-day trial on one plan, a 14-day trial or a 30-day trial on another, and a free trial checkout that only appears when the whole cart qualifies.
Free trial abuse is handled at every level. Trials per client are counted for life, so once per client really means one trial per customer; groups and the whole store can cap trials across many products; new clients only (new customers only) can be switched on per product, per group or store-wide; and Verified Email Required lets only clients with a verified email address start a trial. That is how you limit free trials and prevent trial abuse without watching orders by hand: every trial limit is checked at checkout, and when the cart does not qualify the client sees why, including your own Trial Already Used message.
Trial management carries on after the order. Up to three trial reminder emails go out before the trial ends, trial reminders follow each client's language, a custom welcome email can replace the WHMCS one when a trial order completes, and the module can suspend unpaid trials when they end as an auto suspend step, so trial expiry and trial expiration never leave a service running free. The invoice falls due when the trial finishes, which gives you delayed billing for free trial products, trial products and trial services, and a clean trial to paid conversion. Addon trials work the same way: an addon free trial, or product addon trial, has its own length and limits, so you can offer a free trial for addons too.
You also decide which emails addon trials get. A welcome email for addons and reminder emails for addons each have their own on/off switch, so an addon welcome email and addon reminder emails can be turned off while products keep theirs: send trial reminders for products only, or skip the welcome email for addons, whether the email is the module's own template or the WHMCS default welcome email.
