Keywords are Not Being Ranked

So you’ve optimized some of the pages through Marketgoo, and set the target keywords and added your competitors. As far as you’re concerned you’re doing everything you can on that page to say to tell search engines your site has a relevant content but the keywords are not being ranked on Marketgoo:

First, the basics:

Do a quick search on Google like this:

Site:custom website URL address

Site:custom website URL address/blog

Site:custom website URL address/blog/my-site-rocks

Example of the first search below:

If the results don’t show the website, this is a red flag.  You can check this article to have an idea of why your site isn’t showing up on the search. But if the website appears and you cannot see your keywords being ranked, the following might be the what is causing it:

- The website is new ( At Least less than a month or two). Normally the website can be ranking less compared to older websites as they have more content and more backlinks.

- Keywords are too general/ broad and have a lot of competitors. Picking your keywords correctly are the essentials for successful SEO. You need to dedicate time to research appropriate keywords for your business/ niche. The suggested keywords from marketgoo can help you a lot for getting started.

- The site is not ranking among the first 100 results in any search engine for the chosen keywords. (As marketgoo detects only the first 100 pages of Google, it could mean that your keywords being optimised are not within the top 100.

- There are a low number of pages and content (you need to check the number of pages and content on your website and start working on creating more pages for your website for it to be considered relevant. There needs to be a healthy amount of pages on the website to rank, and we suggest you start by looking at a more successful competitor’s website for reference.

Tip: Companies with 51-100 pages on their site generate 48% more traffic than companies with 1-50 pages.

If you are not ranking for certain keywords after some time, and do not fulfil the previously mentioned criteria, please send a message to support@marketplace.com and we will be happy to investigate the issue.
