Website Hosting Error
Symptom
When publishing a website using Web.com Site Builder, you may see a Website Hosting Error
message:
Website Hosting Error
The hosting is temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later or contact the support team.
Cause
Web.com Site Builder cannot establish an FTP or SFTP connection to your server.
Solution
To resolve this issue:
1. Update the FTP publishing credentials using Setting or Updating FTP Publishing Credentials. Make certain that the following FTP fields and their credentials are valid:
- FTP Host
- FTP Username
- FTP Password
- FTP Path
FTP Path must contain the path to the web directory from the FTP account's default directory.
2. Publication requires either an FTP or SFTP connection. Make certain that your FTP server is not forcing another connection type (for example, FTP-TLS or FTPES) .
3. To ensure that a network or server-side security measure or firewall is not blocking the FTP connection from Web.com Site Builder, review the relevant connection logs:
